Students are supplied in their classes with the finest materials necessary to produce a range of professional quality sample boards.  These class Materials are provided for in your course fees. Please review the individual courses to learn what materials will be supplied that your fees are paying for.  Some materials will remain with you after class, others will remain at the school.

All decorative courses [Marketing & Business is exception] are conducted with the use of the MIXOL Universal Colorant System. Mixols are a top quality - German engineered - Universal tinting system.  MIXOLS are miscible in Latex, Water Based & Oil Paints, Italian Plasters, Varnishes, Waxes and more. Students will be required to bring a Mixol set to each class or purchase a set of tints with their materials and continue to bring this set with them to class.  If a student supply of a color in his/her set runs out, it will be available to purchase extra individual colors. The set of 25 Colors supplied in the Basic VPI class, should last throughout as many as 5 painting or decorating courses.  A student failing to bring their set with them, will be responsible to purchase the colors they need for a class they are participating in.  The Materials fees for classes do NOT cover colorants, after the MIXOL set is purchased for VPI.

Venetian Plaster INTENSIVE I  2-Days   Tuition -  $650    Materials fee  [with the Mixol Tint Set] -$175-   [Materials fee includes a Set of 25 - 20 oz Mixol Universal tints; 1 Steel Trowel; 6 Sample Boards Substrates; Quart of Venetian Plaster; all disposable materials and use of tools necessary materials to complete 6 Professional Quality Sample Boards.  Materials Fee without Mixol Set - $75

NOTE: A student wishing to do so, may bring Gesso Board [recommended] to replace sheet rock for the class samples.        DO NOT bring polystyrene or illustration board which surfaces are NOT suitable for instruction. ________________________________________________________________________________

Venetian Plaster II    Plaster & Wax Design Stenciling in Venetian Plaster  1-Day  Tuition -  $500  Materials fee of  $ 75    [does NOT include stencil purchase which may be done on arrival. ]     [Prerequisite Course Venetian Plaster I applies]    

MATERIALS NOTES:  For the VP Stenciling Course Students need to BRING or PURCHASE the following: 

1. A complete MIXOL Set of 25 colors. [Received in VPI Class]

2. 1 - 3 Stencils of their choosing.  Stencils of different sizes and designs will be available at the Academy for $40 - $200. [Available Designs will vary.  Used Stencils will be available for use in the class at no cost, though for best results we recommend the use of a new stencil.]

3. Materials fees provides for; 2 Quarts of a top quality Synthetic Venetian Plaster; 5 Sample Boards and other  materials necessary to complete; 2 Plaster on Plaster, 2 Wax on Plaster and 1 Color 'Painting' Sample

A GREAT VALUE!  The Trilogy of Intensive Classes is comprised of the 3 classes listed below  priced at $100 less per course than if registered for - individually.   Please note that there are no substitutions for the listed classes and that, while COLOR is an option - it is highly recommended for high end success in the business of decorative art. .There is not specific order in which the Trilogy Courses must be taken. It is suggested however that COLOR always be taken first as the training will enormously enhance the success of the subsequent courses. Trilogy may be taken in consecutive order or course dates may be selected individually according to their availability each month.

PRIVATE CLASSES Private Instruction of the Buon Fresco techniques is taught by Victoria Bingham and is available for groups of 1 or more persons.  For an **open class, 1 person tuition rates are 300% of the group tuition rates for any particular course.  2 persons *together are priced at 250% of group tuition rates and 3 persons *together are priced at 200% of group tuition rates.  For a ***closed class the rates are higher.  Please call for specific tuition rates for closed classes.  Private classes of up to 3 persons generally result in shortened class times. For more information or to schedule a private class please call the studio. 1. 888.637.3726 *Together refers to coming as a complete set of 2 or 3 students. ** In an 'Open' Private class, Buon Fresco reserves the right to advertise and add students - however no more than 4 students total will be in a complete private class having reduced training time.  Additional students will register at the scale as shown above. Should additional students register the original registrant's tuition will remain the same. The original registrant maintains the right to set the class dates. The studio however must be amenable to the schedule for the class to move forward. *** Closed Class refers to a student who wishes to set both the date of instruction and be taught privately with not other students being added to the class.

AWAY  CLASSES  Instruction in the Buon Fresco systems and techniques is taught by Victoria Bingham and is available for groups in your area with the following criteria: Minimum of *6 students are assembled Housing for 2 persons are arranged for Appropriate training space is supplied The Academy will arrange for materials shipment and personnel transportation costs. For further information please call the studio at: 1.888.637.3726 The person arranging the Away Class for a given locality will receive 50% off of tuition costs for themselves, with complimentary tuition after 7 - 10 students are registered. *The Academy reserves the right to offer this Training or not, based on arrangements, the home school schedule and the cost of moving the class to the location in question.

NOTES ABOUT SCHEDULING: 

• Generally,  A color class will be closely scheduled with the Venetian Plaster or Decorative Painting Classes - as the information in the Color Class is invaluable in the understanding and production of high quality work.

• Venetian Plaster Marbling Columns Classes are always scheduled to follow the Venetian Plaster I course as the specific technique for plaster application taught in the basic course is critical to the correct application of plaster on columns. 

• Any class may be run by request, when scheduling permits, with a minimum of 4 students.  For less than 6 students class time may be abbreviated.
